Tight Lines at Harthill!

July 4, 2024

Tight lines were the order of the day at AET’s 48hr ‘Carpathon’ with just two anglers blanking out and over 30 fish caught at Harthill Reservoir. Pre match rumours of an absence of fish in Lake 3 were clearly off the mark!

12 anglers competed over two days at the renowned carp water, with the largest fish gong going to Mark Pearson for a 19 lb 2 oz common, and Martin Newsome collecting the ‘most fish’ award after banking 12 carp.

Experienced fabricator, Martin, who helped organise the event said afterwards, ‘While it was a long and tiring couple of days, everyone involved really enjoyed it. We all appreciate the support AET has shown to us as carp anglers, and we’re looking forward to more weekends like this in the future.’

Fishery owners Embro Angling commented positively about the quality of fishing over the weekend and the clean and tidy condition that the lake was left in.
