AET’s office and shopfloor staff went head-to-head at Dore & Totley Golf Course for the company’s annual golf tournament. The weather on the day may have been inclement, but the torrential rain failed to dampen the spirits of the participants.
It is pleasing to report that the 2023 tournament witnessed a changing of the guard with the ‘directs’ recording their first ever victory to take the Bertie Cup Crown.
The indirect staff played some excellent golf in tough conditions but were narrowly beaten by 4 points to 2 in the Four Ball Better Ball Matchplay format.
Operations Director, Andrew Richards remarked afterwards, “Despite the horrendous weather conditions, the teams persevered, and the spirit remained good throughout. It must be said that the quality of the golf witnessed during the event was impressive considering the downpours we endured”.
