As we’re sure you are aware, AET turns 30 this year and the managers and directors of the business have put together a series of activities and celebrations to mark the occasion. The intention is to recognise and reward the hard work and dedication of the many people who have been involved with the company since 28th September 1989 when Advanced Engineering Techniques Limited was formally registered as a business with Companies House.
The Thursday afternoon anniversary draw has become a fixture at AET since James Swinden was announced as the first winner in March. Each week, every employee of AET has the opportunity to win £100 when a member of the senior management team draws a numbered ball from the AET lottery box. Running for 29 weeks, the draws lead us up to the final 30th ‘Super Draw’, to take place on 26th September. Winners will be chosen who will receive prizes of £250, £500 and £1000.
In July, AET hosted a corporate clay shoot at Yeavley Estate, Derbyshire where staff, customers and suppliers enjoyed a 50 ‘bird’ shoot which was won by former Bystronic MD Dave Larcombe.
Oulton Hall near Wakefield was the venue for the company’s golf day where the weather gods were again kind and 28 players – of varied abilities! – completed 18 holes of Stableford play. The winning golfer was Jack Malia from AET’s electrical contractors Bee Electrical Services.
The big day itself will be celebrated on Thursday 26th September. Outside caterers will be brought in, commemorative gifts distributed, and final super draws held over an extended lunch break.
