AET Ltd – Manufacturing Shutdown – Force Majeure

26th March 2020

Dear All

In line with the UK Government’s announcement on Monday evening and the guidelines issued on the 20th March 2020 relating to the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, we regret to inform you that we have decided to temporarily suspend our production from the morning of  April 1st for a period of fourteen days.  During this time, we will continue to assess whether this period needs to be extended and this will be in line with Government advice and customer requirements.

We have taken this decision to protect our staff and their families along with the wider communities and are committed to playing our part in ending this crisis.

We are giving as much notice as we are able and appreciate your support in these difficult and unprecedented times.  We also recognise that the temporary suspension of the business may affect our obligations to customers, suppliers and open purchase orders.

Please note that during the temporary closure of the factory we will have key personnel working both to support our employees and to ensure we are prepared to meet our customers’ needs when we eventually reopen.

The Directors and staff at AET fully support the government’s efforts to eradicate this terrible disease.

We would like to thank you all for your understanding and assure you that we will do our utmost to minimise any adverse effects to our partners in business.
