AET’s continued philosophy of investing in the very latest manufacturing technology was demonstrated yet again this week when the company ordered the next in a long line of lasers from Bystronic. The BySprint Fiber 4020 6KW machine will be AET’s tenth laser profiler but the first utilising fibre technology offering reduced running costs, faster productivity as well as a reduction in downtime with shorter services. The machine will come with another first for AET’s fleet – ByTrans, Bystronic’s fully automated loading and unloading system. This will give AET the capability to process up to six tonnes of material in a ‘lights out’ scenario will full monitoring to alert offsite staff of any issues during the night. The final piece of the jigsaw in this investment project is Bystronic’s latest CAD/CAM software solution, Bysoft7. The fully modular package, with scheduling and monitoring features, will give faster processing of customers order and increased efficiencies and material utilisation.
