18th February 2015 – AET Supports WW1 Memorial

When AET were approached for help with a World War 1 memorial project in nearby Marple, they were only too happy to Help.

Alan Burton, long standing friend and contact of AET, was tasked with creating entrance signs for Marple Memorial Park in his home town, and sought AET’s design and manufacturing expertise. After producing a scaled replica of their proposed concept to show to the other committee members, AET manufactured two signs each comprising a black painted panel sandwiched by two stainless steel laser cut panels showing the design.

The people of Marple are delighted with the results with Alan commenting ‘It’s a poignant and impressive finishing touch to the park, and the committee members are hugely grateful for AET’s skills and generosity.’

Future plans for the park include renovating a brick pavilion built by returning Marple soldiers after the war.Marple 6.3.15_001
